My name is Monica and I live in a city that is ever growing. After 2020, most of our lives shifted. I started to write online, sharing my small urban garden as well as DIY home renovations, perspectives on the future and making cost-effective, healthy vegetarian meals.
With this I decided to offer my first vegetarian cook book for the new millennium. The recipes are simple and easy to make and start from beginner level to intermediate e-card recipes. They are also budget friendly and healthy.
Some of the ingredients are taken from my urban garden such as collards, green peppers, potatoes, tomatoes, kidney beans, celery, kale, peppermint, spearmint, chives, basil and oregano.
Even though food prices are high, there are ways we can curb our spending and cook our own delicious meals at home. This way we can enjoy nutritious meals without going hungry.
With rising inflation and more concerns on how to feed millions in our future, what are some practical solutions to help people out? Several food banks have seen an increase in the number of people needing support. However, how does this help in the long run when we have our mouths to feed every 4-6 hours a day.
Our way of living is vastly shifting and food is a central part of this change. People cannot afford meat and many do not know how to make delicious, satiating, cost-effective healthy vegetarian meals.
At the start of this decade I realized there is going to be a food supply disruption in our future. Since then I started a small urban garden in my backyard in the Spring of 2020. In such a short time the prices of food around the world is skyrocketing and many do not know how to make ends meet and feed themselves and their families.
Hopefully this vegetarian recipe book offers you the tools you need to make budget friendly, healthy and abundant meals.
Thank you for your support.
